Before- and After-School at C&C
C&C+ is the before- and after-school program at City and Country that offers multiple options, including Early Morning Drop-off, Add-in Classes, Extended Day Options, FLEX Time, and Music Lessons. Each division offers programs that grow with the students. Reach out to Natalie Joseph, Director of C&C+, with any questions.
Lower School Options
Early Morning Drop-off: IVs-VIIs have the option to gather in the Library to enjoy books, games, and arts and crafts starting at 8:00 a.m. At 8:40 a.m., they will be brought to their Group classrooms by the early morning drop-off teacher. Please bring your child to the Library upon arrival. Available as needed, Monday-Friday.
Extended Afternoon IIs and IIIs: This program runs each day until 5:00 p.m. and offers a warm and nurturing time with yard, art, and other activities. Full-day IIs (when turning three) and full-day IIIs are welcome to participate. Available as needed, Monday-Friday.
Extended Afternoon IVs-VIIs: This program runs each day until 5:45 p.m. and offers a warm and nurturing after-school time with Yard play and indoor activities such as art, playing games, and sharing stories. Available as needed, Monday-Friday.
Add-In Classes: For children in IVs-VIIs, there are several add-in classes available for your child that cater to individual interests. In addition to favorites like Wood Works, Yoga, Chess, and Cooking, there are new choices introduced each term. Schedule and pricing vary by offering. Private Music Lessons: For children in the Vs and up, private music lessons are available for piano, violin, cello, viola, guitar, bass, ukulele, and voice. Please reach out to James Yoon, our Music Department Coordinator, to schedule and learn more details. Space is limited, and FA is not available for these offerings.
Middle and Upper School Options
Early Morning Drop-off: VIIIs-Xs children can join from 8:00 until 8:30 a.m. in the Yard and Library. As the year progresses students have the option to attend math practice. Upon arrival, children sign in at the Front Desk and go directly to the appropriate location. Available as needed, Monday-Friday. No charge.
Extended Afternoon: This program runs each day until 5:45 p.m. Extended is something your child may attend on a day-by-day basis. Available as needed, Monday-Friday.
Flex: A long-standing tradition for students, VIIIs-XIIIs, to complete, continue, or get assistance with their school work and projects. They can work on their homework, receive learning support, and play games in Yard. If your child stays for Flex, then they must remain for the entire period until the 4:00 p.m. dismissal. Available as needed, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. No charge.
Add-In Classes: There are a number of add-in classes available for VIIIs-XIIIs that cater to individual interests. Team Sports: C&C sponsors team sports for our older students, Xs-XIIIs. You can learn more about team sports here. There is no cost to participate.
For Families on Financial Aid
City and Country offers C&C+ support for families receiving financial aid.
For the drop-in programs:
- Mornings: Financial aid applies at the same rate as tuition-related FA, up to a 75% maximum. Minimum cost: $5.
- Afternoon: Financial aid applies at the same rate as tuition-related FA, up to a 75% maximum. Minimum cost: $10.
For the after-school programs :

First Add-In Class: Eligible for financial aid at the same rate as tuition-related FA, up to a 90% maximum.

Second Add-In Class: Families on financial aid receive a 20% discount.

Additional Classes: A 10% discount applies to each class after the second.
